The Snæfellsnes Penninsula
On the Western Coast of Iceland, The Snæfellsnes Penninsula winds up past craggy cliffs and moss-strewn lava fields along crooked beaches. We took a day trip and drove up from Reykjavik, passing through Borgarnes at the foot of Mt. Hafnarfjall. We turned around at the ancient fishing village of Hellnar, situated on the coast next to rock formations and cliff Valasnös.
Excited to publish this on the 30th birthday of my travel buddy for this Icelandic adventure, who made me drive the entire day. Toasting to you, Heather!
