Happy 2015 everyone!
I have no idea what to say right now except that I'm super grateful 2014 was such an awesome year. Thank you to everyone who supported me through it, those of you who travelled with me and particularly anyone who looked through my site even once, this project that has taken me years to get started. I hope you all had an epic year in 2014 and that 2015 will be even more amazeballs for you!
I took this picture hiking along the Shanahan Ridge in Boulder with my dad. We were on our way back to the car because it was 0° out and we were starting to freeze our asses off. My dad spotted the deer from a way down the road, and we both stopped, removed our hands from the fists they were in, in the palms of our gloves, and put our freezing fingers back in the finger holes to shoot for a couple of minutes. The herd crossed the path in front of us, a group of a dozen or so, mostly lady deer and then at the very end this guy with his adorable horns. They disappeared into the cover of the trees at the side of the trail, and we pretty much jogged the rest of the way back to the trailhead through the quiet freezing snowdrifts. From amazing Colorado, Happy New Deer :)
