Performing Arts And Culture

From 2017 - 2021 I collaborated to present Performing Arts and Culture programs at Asia Society Texas. These programs celebrate the vibrant diversity of Asia through thought-provoking dance, music, theater, film, literature, and other cultural experiences that span time and inspire both curiosity and empathy.

A selection of programmatic highlights from my tenure include musical performances by Kronos Quartet, Grand Tapestry, Red Baraat, and Zeshan B; dance performances with the Houston Ballet, Transitory Sound and Movement Collective, T.T.C Dance, and Farah Yasmeen Shaikh; and cultural programs Sacred Music Sacred Dance performed by the monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery, and ANI – A Harvest Kamayan Feast and Lechon Pig Roast with Yana Gilbuena.

Additional programmatic partnerships featured Houston-based institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts, Miller Outdoor Theatre, Femfest Houston, Turkish Music Festival, HAAPI Film Festival, and many more.

  • Program Manager

  • With a mission of showcasing creative performances across a wide range of cultures, our team worked with community partners to present works featuring local, national, and international artists to engage communities throughout Houston.

I supported the production and administration these events. In addition to facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders, I assisted the Director of Performing Arts and Culture to plan, develop, and coordinate performances, panel discussions, lectures, films, and other events.
